SOFTSWISS Helps Operators Save €6m in H1 2024

SOFTSWISS, a global technology firm with over 15 years in the iGaming industry, reports that its Anti-Fraud team in Managed Services secured approximately €6 million for clients in the first half of 2024.

This achievement marks a one-third decrease in at-risk amounts compared to the previous year. By employing advanced tools and methodologies to counter fraud attempts, such as bypassing restrictions and violating terms, the Anti-Fraud team assists operators in establishing a more secure operational environment.

In H1 2024, the Anti-Fraud team addressed around 54,000 tasks, including operator and verification requests, and fraud and responsible gambling notifications. This volume represents an 8.5% reduction from H1 2023.

Ilya Nesterov, Anti-Fraud Team Lead, commented: “The primary fraud types we encounter are bonus abuse, identity theft, and document forgery, which constitute nearly 90% of all cases. We are encouraged by the slight decrease in operators’ requests and fraud notifications this year, indicating a more responsible behavior from players.”

However, player complaints to regulators or industry forums rose by 12.4% year-on-year, totaling 118 in the first six months of 2024. Thanks to SOFTSWISS’s expertise in analyzing these cases, operators managed to resolve issues, preserving their reputation and saving nearly €250,000.

The Anti-Fraud team has recently introduced an innovative Risk Scoring Tool that identifies potential issues in real time, enabling proactive measures and enhancing gaming security. By adopting new technologies and leading responsible gaming practices, SOFTSWISS gained recognition in the Responsible Gaming category at the SiGMA Africa Awards.

Partners can schedule a meeting at stand 12-F30 during iGB Live! on July 17–18 to learn more about responsible gambling practices and SOFTSWISS’s innovative solutions.
