Kwiff, the super-charged sports betting service, has strengthened its commitment to Responsible Gaming by introducing its innovative ‘Curfew’ tool. This feature allows players to take control by blocking access to the platform during specific times of their choosing.
The Curfew feature elevates player protection by enabling users to restrict their access to gaming services at chosen hours, demonstrating kwiff’s dedication to player welfare beyond regulatory requirements.
Ian Perrygrove, Chief Risk Officer at kwiff, stated:
“Industry regulations don’t require this level of technical expertise, but through internal collaboration, we identified the opportunity to go further than the minimum set of tools, and we are seeing positive early usage. Curfew offers a complete block of service access for designated time periods that are unique to the player’s own playing habits.”
Early data shows that players are actively using the feature to manage their time, with many opting to block access after midnight. Interestingly, 24% of users have set restrictions during the day, reflecting a modern player base that no longer adheres to the traditional 9-to-5 lifestyle.
Curfew complements kwiff’s existing real-time player monitoring system, which tracks behavioural changes to identify potential signs of harm. This data-driven approach, paired with tools like Curfew, allows kwiff to offer personalised, proactive protection for its players.
Kwiff’s efforts in Responsible Gaming were recognised by GamCare, awarding the platform the ‘Safer Gambling Standard’ certificate for its leadership in safer gambling practices.
