Meridian Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: MRDN) has announced that its subsidiary Expanse Studios signed a strategic content distribution agreement with MaxBet, a subsidiary of Flutter Entertainment plc (NYSE: FLUT; LSE: FLTR).
MaxBet is one of Serbia’s leading omni-channel gaming operators, giving Expanse Studios a significant foothold in one of Southeast Europe’s most competitive iGaming markets.
The partnership is already live, with Expanse Studios’ suite of proprietary gaming titles currently available and accessible to players through MaxBet’s platform.
Expanse Studios gains expanded distribution by integrating with MaxBet’s established infrastructure, leveraging the operator’s dominant regional presence to reach a broader player base.
“This agreement offers Expanse and Meridian direct access to Flutter’s increased global scale and capitalizes on the rising demand for our localized, high-performing content,” said Damjan Stamenkovic, CEO of Expanse Studios.
Stamenkovic added that the company remains focused on driving B2B growth through quality distribution and scalable partnerships with market-leading operators in regulated territories.
According to Statista, Serbia’s online gambling revenue is projected to grow to $186 million by 2029, highlighting the market’s significant long-term commercial potential.
MaxBet holds an estimated 15% to 20% online market share in Serbia, making it a strategically valuable partner for expanding Expanse Studios’ regional revenue generation.
The operator runs over 450 retail gaming locations alongside its digital platforms and employs more than 3,000 professionals across its operations as part of Flutter Entertainment’s International division.
Expanse Studios currently maintains a portfolio of over 70 proprietary titles spanning slots, crash games, turn-based strategies, and card games, distributed to operators across multiple continents.
The studio powers more than 1,500 B2B operator partnerships globally, continuing to build distribution infrastructure in regulated markets where certified, compliant gaming content is a core requirement.
Meridian Holdings, based in Las Vegas, operates globally through both B2B and B2C divisions, with its Meridianbet sportsbook licensed across 18 jurisdictions in Europe, Africa, and South America.
