MDA Space Ltd. (MDA.TO) has reported second quarter revenue of C$498.6 million, a significant jump from C$373.3 million recorded in the same period last year.
The Canadian space technology company posted a quarterly profit of C$27.9 million, reflecting steady year-over-year earnings growth from the prior year’s C$27.2 million result.
On a per-share basis, MDA Space earned C$0.20 in the second quarter, compared with C$0.21 per share during the same quarter last year.
The slight dip in per-share earnings despite higher net income reflects changes in the company’s share count over the period.
Excluding certain items, MDA Space reported adjusted earnings of C$51.8 million, or C$0.36 per share, for the quarter.
The adjusted figures provide a clearer picture of underlying operational performance, stripping out one-time or non-recurring items from the headline results.
Revenue growth of 33.6% year-over-year signals strong demand across MDA Space’s satellite systems, robotics, and geointelligence business segments.
The company has also narrowed its full-year revenue guidance, now targeting a range of C$1.8 billion to C$1.9 billion for the fiscal year.
Alongside the revenue outlook, MDA Space narrowed its adjusted EBITDA guidance to a range of C$330 million to C$370 million for the full year.
The narrowed guidance range suggests management has greater confidence in forecasting performance for the remainder of the fiscal year.
MDA Space operates across several high-growth areas of the global space economy, including satellite manufacturing, earth observation, and space robotics technologies.
The company’s revenue trajectory reflects broader industry momentum, as governments and private sector operators continue to invest heavily in space infrastructure.
With a full-year revenue target of up to C$1.9 billion, MDA Space is positioning itself as a major player in the rapidly expanding commercial space sector.
