Palantir (PLTR) Stock Surges Nearly 40% On Explosive AI-Driven Revenue Growth

Palantir Technologies (NASDAQ: PLTR) delivered one of its most dramatic weeks on the market, with shares climbing nearly 40% following a blockbuster earnings report.

The data analytics company posted second-quarter revenue of $1.9 billion, representing a staggering 93% increase compared to the same period a year earlier.

U.S. government revenue led part of the charge, jumping 90% year over year to reach $809 million for the quarter.

The company’s U.S. commercial segment was even more striking, surging 149% to $764 million and signaling broad corporate appetite for Palantir’s AI-powered platform.

CEO Alex Karp did not hold back in his assessment of the results, calling the performance remarkable given the company’s scale and influence in the market.

“Such an achievement would be cause for astonishment in any business; for one of our size, scale, and consequence, it is simply staggering,” Karp said.

Karp also positioned Palantir as a trusted alternative for businesses wary of sharing sensitive data with major AI model developers like OpenAI and Anthropic.

“Our customers trust us to provide them with maximal control over their operations, data, and decisions,” Karp said, adding, “Their competitive advantage should never become the training data for future models.”

Adjusted operating income rose 62% to $1.2 billion, while adjusted earnings per share came in at $0.41, comfortably beating Wall Street’s consensus estimate of $0.35.

Buoyed by these results, Palantir raised its full-year revenue target to nearly $8.2 billion, anchored by projected U.S. commercial revenue growth of at least 134%.

Management also guided for adjusted operating income of roughly $4.9 billion in 2026, underscoring the company’s growing profitability alongside its rapid top-line expansion.

Karp signaled that despite the blistering pace of commercial growth, the company views its U.S. commercial business as still in its early stages.

“While our U.S. commercial business is on fire, we believe it is nonetheless just nascent,” Karp said, suggesting that the current trajectory may only represent the beginning of a much larger opportunity.

Investors and analysts are now watching closely to see whether Palantir can sustain this level of momentum as enterprise AI adoption continues to accelerate across both the public and private sectors.
