Swedish manufacturing group NIBE Industrier AB posted sharply higher earnings in the second quarter of 2026, signalling a notable recovery in financial performance year over year.
Net profit attributable to parent company shareholders climbed to SEK 751 million in the quarter, up from SEK 492 million recorded in the same period last year.
The improvement represents a substantial year-on-year gain, reflecting stronger operational execution across the company’s business segments during the period.
Earnings per share rose to SEK 0.37, compared with SEK 0.24 in the prior year, demonstrating meaningful growth in shareholder returns over the twelve-month comparison window.
Operating profit jumped to SEK 1.23 billion in the quarter, a significant increase from SEK 944 million recorded in the corresponding period of the previous year.
Net sales also moved higher, reaching SEK 10.85 billion versus SEK 10.08 billion a year earlier, indicating continued demand across NIBE Industrier’s product portfolio.
The revenue growth, while steady rather than dramatic, combined with sharper operating leverage to drive the outsized improvement in bottom-line profitability during the quarter.
NIBE Industrier acknowledged that several external headwinds continue to create uncertainty for its business planning and forward-looking assessments going into the second half of 2026.
The company said the impact of global security conditions, exchange rates and energy price volatility remains difficult to assess, pointing to a complex macroeconomic backdrop.
Despite those uncertainties, the company said it remains optimistic about its performance in 2026 and over the longer term, projecting continued resilience across its operations.
Energy price volatility has been a persistent factor for heating and climate solutions manufacturers globally, making NIBE Industrier’s earnings growth particularly noteworthy in the current environment.
On Thursday, NIBE Industrier closed trading at CHF 3.2220 on the Swiss Stock Exchange, reflecting investor attention ahead of the results publication.
The results position NIBE Industrier as a company successfully navigating a challenging global landscape while continuing to deliver meaningful improvements for shareholders.
