Flutter Entertainment (FLUT) Sends Mixed Signals Ahead Of November 4 Earnings Release

Flutter Entertainment (FLUT) heads into its upcoming quarterly report carrying a contradictory set of signals that make predicting its earnings outcome unusually difficult for investors.

The online gambling giant is scheduled to release results for the quarter ended September 2026 on November 4, with Wall Street watching closely for any movement in the stock.

Analysts are bracing for a sharp earnings contraction, forecasting earnings per share of just $0.26, which would represent an 84.2% decline compared to the same period a year earlier.

Despite that steep profit drop, revenue is expected to tell a more encouraging story, with analysts projecting $4.02 billion in quarterly sales, a 6.1% increase from the year-ago quarter.

Adding to the cautious mood, the consensus EPS estimate has already been trimmed 2.01% lower over the past 30 days, reflecting a collective reassessment by analysts covering the stock.

The most recent revision trend does, however, carry a silver lining: the Most Accurate Estimate now sits above the Zacks Consensus Estimate, pushing the Zacks Earnings ESP to a notable +12.50%.

That positive Earnings ESP reading signals that analysts who revised their estimates closest to the reporting date have grown comparatively more optimistic about Flutter’s earnings prospects.

The complication is that FLUT currently holds a Zacks Rank of #4 (Sell), and research indicates that a positive Earnings ESP alone is insufficient to forecast a beat without a supportive rank.

History adds another layer of skepticism: in its most recently reported quarter, Flutter delivered earnings of $0.49 per share against an expectation of $0.58, producing a surprise of -15.52%.

That said, Flutter has beaten consensus EPS estimates in three of the last four quarters, meaning the miss was an exception rather than the established pattern.

Investors will also be listening carefully to management’s commentary on the earnings call, since business condition guidance typically has more lasting influence on stock price than the raw numbers.

By comparison, fellow Zacks Gaming industry name Red Rock Resorts (RRR) appears to be a more straightforward beat candidate heading into the same earnings season.

RRR is expected to post earnings of $0.23 per share for the September 2026 quarter, a year-over-year decline of 66.2%, with revenue forecast at $483.63 million, up 1.7%.

Red Rock’s Earnings ESP stands at +29.19%, and its Zacks Rank #3 (Hold) creates the combination that research shows produces a positive earnings surprise nearly 70% of the time.

Red Rock has also beaten consensus EPS estimates in each of its last four consecutive quarters, giving it a more consistent track record than Flutter entering this reporting cycle.
