Consortium of Investors Acquire GamblingNews.uk from iGaming.News Amid Audience Expansion

iGaming.News has completed the sale of GamblingNews.uk to a consortium of investors, marking one of the more notable media transactions in the UK gambling news sector in recent history.

The financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed, and the identities of the acquiring parties remain undisclosed at this stage, with the consortium opting to keep details of its composition private.

GamblingNews.uk launched in early 2022 as a UK-headquartered publication focused on delivering news, analysis and regulatory updates across the online gambling and iGaming sector.

The site has grown into a significant force within the industry, ranking among the 20 largest iGaming news sites globally and placing inside the top 10 in the United Kingdom, according to SimilarWeb traffic data. That trajectory has been notable given how competitive the space has become, with established legacy titles and newer digital-first publications both vying for audience share among operators, affiliates, regulators and investors.

The sale represents a clean exit for iGaming.News, which had developed GamblingNews.uk as a standalone brand with its own editorial identity. While iGaming.News has not publicly outlined its reasons for divesting the asset, the deal reflects broader consolidation trends playing out across digital media, where specialist publications with engaged professional audiences have attracted growing investor interest.

GamblingNews.uk, which has been a Cision PR Newswire media distribution partner since January 2026, has built its reputation on covering licensing developments, regulatory shifts, corporate news, market expansions, and emerging trends with a focus on English-speaking markets, particularly the UK. Its reach also extends to audiences in North America, making it a genuinely international property despite its UK base.

The terms of the transaction are expected to remain confidential.
