Park Aerospace (PKE) Stock Drops 10% After Lowering GE Aerospace Revenue Forecast

Park Aerospace (PKE) shares are falling sharply while broader markets inch higher, dropping 10.7% as of midday trading following disappointing guidance in its latest earnings report.

The aerospace materials company released its second-quarter fiscal 2027 financial results after the market closed, and investors responded with a decisive sell-off the following session.

Despite posting solid top and bottom-line growth, the market focused its attention on a downward revision to Park Aerospace’s sales forecast tied to GE Aerospace jet engine programs.

Park Aerospace now projects that sales related to GE Aerospace jet engine programs will total $32 million to $35 million in fiscal 2027, down from prior guidance of $34 million to $38 million.

The revision is significant given how central GE Aerospace-related revenue is to Park Aerospace’s overall business performance and financial health.

In fiscal 2026, net sales to suppliers of GE Aerospace accounted for 39.3% of the company’s total revenue, making it by far the largest single source of income.

Despite the guidance cut, Park Aerospace delivered quarterly revenue growth, with sales climbing to $20.8 million compared to $16.4 million during the same period last year.

Profitability also improved meaningfully, with the company reporting net income of $4.5 million for the quarter, up from $2.4 million in Q2 2026.

That kind of year-over-year growth across both revenue and net income typically signals a company executing well on its operational strategy and managing costs effectively.

The market reaction, however, was swift and severe, with the double-digit percentage decline suggesting investors are pricing in a more prolonged impact from the reduced GE Aerospace outlook.

Analysts and observers may view today’s sell-off as an overreaction given the company’s demonstrated ability to grow revenue and profits even in a challenging demand environment.

The reduced forecast for GE Aerospace-related sales does not necessarily indicate a structural deterioration in the business, and the underlying financials remain relatively strong.

Park Aerospace has built its business around supplying advanced composite materials used in aerospace applications, a market that continues to benefit from long-term demand trends in commercial and defense aviation.

Investors weighing the sell-off will need to consider whether the guidance revision reflects temporary softness in GE Aerospace’s jet engine program or a more sustained shift in procurement volumes.

For now, the market has spoken clearly, sending PKE shares lower as traders reassess the company’s near-term earnings trajectory heading into the remainder of fiscal 2027.
