Entain (LSE:ENT) Fair Value Drops To £8.91 As Analysts Split On Growth And Regulatory Risks

Entain’s (LSE:ENT) updated fair value estimate has slipped from £9.44 to £8.91, marking a modest but meaningful reset in how analysts assess the stock’s longer-term potential.

The revision reflects a research environment where some analysts are pointing to stronger core operations while others remain cautious about policy risks and deal uncertainty surrounding the company.

This divergence in outlook has produced a notably wide spread of analyst price targets, ranging from approximately 680 GBp on the low end to 1,200 GBp at the more bullish extreme.

Several major firms including JPMorgan, Morgan Stanley, and Citi continue to carry positive ratings on Entain, with price targets clustered around 1,000 GBp, signalling continued confidence in the stock’s valuation support.

Kepler Cheuvreux upgraded Entain to Buy with a 680 GBp target, citing what it describes as materially improved competitiveness in the core business, particularly in UK and US operations.

Susquehanna previously set a 1,200 GBp target and described Entain as one of the more attractive value opportunities in global gaming, with a solid outlook across its core markets.

On the more cautious side, Deutsche Bank, Citi, and JPMorgan have all trimmed their Entain price targets in recent months, signalling a more restrained view of near-term upside even while maintaining positive overall ratings.

Susquehanna also cut its own target from 1,150 GBp to 900 GBp, reflecting lower estimates, reduced expectations around a potential MGM Resorts-related offer, and concern over regulatory actions including a temporary online gambling ban in Brazil.

Several key model assumptions have shifted alongside the fair value change, with revenue growth moving from 4.78% to 0.60%, the future price-to-earnings multiple falling from 32.36x to 25.30x, and the discount rate rising from 11.08% to 12.45%.

The net profit margin assumption moved in the opposite direction, improving from 4.23% to 5.80%, suggesting analysts expect Entain to generate more profit per pound of revenue even as top-line growth expectations moderate.

Analysts continue to monitor how data-driven marketing, product development, and omnichannel partnerships are influencing customer engagement and margins across Entain’s iGaming and online sports betting operations.

The outlook for further regulated sports betting and iGaming market openings in North America remains a key growth driver that investors are watching closely for any signs of acceleration or delay.

Risks including higher gaming taxes, uncertainty around state-level iGaming legalisation, and intensifying competition from both regulated and unregulated alternatives remain central to how analysts are framing the Entain investment case going forward.
